A hardcore punk rock band that formed at the onset of demise of Thumbs Down, The Setup -- Dries (vocals), Raf (guitar), Andries (guitar), Christophe (bass), and Serch (drums) -- formed in 2002. The band, after solidifying the musical parts line up, began working out songs, eventually settled on the Belgian singer listed above, and soon after released their first record, The Pretense of Normality. The Setup then found themselves on the road for much of the next two years, and after honing their chops on stage, were ready to get back to the studio. The resulting full length, Minister of Death, was well received, and landed the band further touring slots, this time with Path of Resistance and Ringworm.
