The Smashing Pumpkins are ready to bring "Oceania" around the world. Billy Corgan and company kicked off their latest tour last night in Melbourne, Florida.
The U.S. portion of this run will feature a number of festival appearances, including stops at Memphis' Beale Street Music Festival, Mississippi's Gulfport Music Festival, and this year's Rock in the Range in Columbus. After that gig wraps up the Pumpkins will back up and head overseas for a summer tour that will take them across Europe and Asia.
The band says this tour will feature a new stage and video set up, but that's not the only new thing they've been working on. Corgan posted a note on Facebook this weekend letting fans know that they've been hard at work on demos for what will eventually be the follow-up to "Oceania."
